Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about B&B Julia

Everything you want to know about your stay in Piedmont.

Where exactly is B&B Julia located?

B&B Julia is in the village of Cardona in Piedmont (Northern Italy), about a 1.5-hour drive from Milan, 1 hour from Turin and 1 hour from Lake Como, close to Alba (truffle region) and the Barolo wine region. The distance from Arnhem to the B&B is 1100 km.

How many rooms does B&B Julia have?

B&B Julia has 4 rooms and 2 apartments (Tartufo and Fiat). All accommodations have air conditioning, a private bathroom and were fully renovated in 2024/2025.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, an extensive breakfast with fresh local products is included with all rooms. For the apartments Tartufo and Fiat breakfast can be added optionally. There is also a sandwich service available for both apartments.

How much does a night cost?

View the current rates for all rooms and apartments on our pricing page. Room rates include breakfast, wifi and air conditioning. The price excludes tourist tax (set at €1 per person per day for 2026, with a maximum of 7 nights).

How do I book at B&B Julia?

You can book directly via benbjulia.com/reserveren — choose your room and dates, see the price immediately and confirm online. You'll receive a confirmation email straight away. This way you pay no commission to booking platforms.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM. Slightly earlier or later arrival is possible by arrangement.

Is there a swimming pool?

Yes, B&B Julia has an outdoor swimming pool with views over the Piedmont hills, available to all guests during the summer season.

Which languages are spoken?

Maryse and Ruud speak Dutch, English, German and (better and better…) Italian. The website is available in 6 languages: Dutch, English, German, Italian, French and Danish.

Are pets allowed?

Dogs may be allowed, after consultation. Please contact us in advance via info@benbjulia.com or WhatsApp (+31 6 20235779) to discuss this. If we agree your pet may join, a surcharge of €10 per day applies.

What is there to do nearby?

Wine tastings in Barolo and Asti, truffle hunting around Alba, cycling and walking through the hills, cooking workshops, Vespa tours, and visits to many of the historic villages such as Murisengo, Tonco, Neive and many more.

Is Piedmont good for cycling?

Piedmont is mainly hilly rather than truly mountainous, so cycling is certainly possible. An e-bike, road bike or mountain bike is preferable. Italy doesn't have many cycle paths, but on the small roads from village to village there is little traffic, so it stays safe.

Can I book a massage?

Yes, our B&B has a massage room. Maryse offers relaxation massages so you can fully unwind on your holiday. A 1-hour massage costs €50. Please book in advance by email: info@benbjulia.com or WhatsApp (+31 6 20235779).
