Zóveel te zien en te doen!

Do you choose a relaxing day at the B&B today or head out? Both are fine of course, you're on holiday after all so we recommend doing whatever you feel like! Should you decide to go out, it'll be hard to choose… there's just so much to see!

Markt in Moncalvo

Visit the village of Moncalvo, about a 10-minute drive away. The small, narrow streets are uniquely Italian and so lovely to stroll through and admire the beautiful houses and local shops. Left and right you hear a cheerful 'Buon Giorno'.

They say Moncalvo is the smallest city in Italy. Every month there's a charming market and throughout the year various festivals are organized.

Turijn!

For many, Turin is still an unknown city. Unknown means unloved… but in the case of Turin it's really worth spending a full day. Turin is about an hour's drive from the B&B.

Turin was once the capital of Italy. You can walk wonderfully through the covered arcades, visit the Egyptian Museum (one of the largest in the world), have a cup of coffee in one of the many historic cafés and enjoy the view of the Alps.

Alba – truffels en ander lekkers

If you say Piedmont, you say truffles and good wine. Alba is about a 45-minute drive from the B&B. Alba has the highest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy, so the true food connoisseur can really indulge.

Besides the (more well-known) black truffle, it's especially the white truffle that is world-famous. In October/November the famous truffle fair takes place.

Genua – Rapallo – Portofino – Cinque Terre

An absolute must is a day trip to the coast. In a good 1.5 hours you drive from the B&B to Genoa. The coastal route ('the flower riviera') is truly spectacularly beautiful. The road winds close to the sea past all sorts of lovely towns.

If you turn off at Genoa towards Cinque Terre, you can visit some of the most beautiful coastal villages in the world. Truly unforgettable!

Azienda Agricola Dorato

Be sure to visit Stefania Dorato at her goat farm in Alfiano Natte (about 5 minutes from our B&B). Stefania runs a goat farm with a barn full of lovely goats, and from their milk she makes all sorts of delicious products.

The farm is small-scale and there are no tourists. A very authentic experience where you can taste the different goat cheeses.

Lago Maggiore

Besides 'Garda', Lake Maggiore is one of the most famous and beautiful lakes in northern Italy. Wonderful for a refreshing dip on a hot summer day, but also a great area to visit lovely small villages.

A (touristic) recommendation is also to visit the Borromean Islands. You take a boat from Stresa and can visit the beautiful gardens and palaces on the islands.

Het verlaten kerkje 'Santo Spirito'

Just behind our house, about a 10-15 minute walk, you'll find the abandoned little church 'Santo Spirito', after which our street is named. The church is largely overgrown by ivy and from the path you have to know where it is, otherwise you'll walk right past it… we'll gladly tell you its story.
