Pay a visit to the small village of Moncalvo, only about ten minutes away by car. Its narrow little streets are unique for Italy and an absolute joy to wander through, admiring the lovely houses and local shops. Cheerful 'Buon Giorno' greetings come from left and right. Thursday is market day People are friendly and live piano piano (with all the time in the world). Go preferably on Thursday so you can stroll the market on the central square. You may pick up a tasty cheese or salami to take home. The various cafés are ideal for a morning cappuccino. Enjoy it. Combine Moncalvo with a walk through the surrounding hills — on a clear day the view over the vineyards is breathtaking.
